About We Support The US

Every time I watch the Olympics I’m amazed at how many athletes out there are competing for America who we’ve never heard of. We are a sports obsessed country, yet these sports that capture the public’s eye every four years seem to exist in obscurity for the other four years. Information about these athletes and their competitions are scarce and hard to keep track of. There is no central place to go to get coverage of these athletes.

That’s why We Support The US was started. To follow these athletes in the non-Olympic years. To cover how the stars of the Olympics do in the lesser known World Championships, World Cups, and other competitions. To make it easier for other Americans to follow their fellow countrymen and women and cheer them on.

We’ll certainly cover the Olympics, after all this is the pinnacle of most of these sports. But we hope to continue coverage after Rio and to bring more attention to these athletes throughout 2016 and beyond. If you’d like to get involved and help cover these stories get ahold of me on twitter @MaverickManiacs.
