Once again there is only one event in which the US is participating on Friday, archery.  Friday’s competition will involve the men’s and women’s ranking round. Individuals will shoot 72 arrows with a maximum of ten points per arrow. The individuals will be seeded 1-64 based on their scores and put into a knockout bracket that way, so this ranking round is important to avoid other strong competitors before the late rounds.

The individual scores will be combined into a team score to seed the teams for the team competitions.  Four teams in each competition will get byes into the quarterfinals, so again a high scoring round is important.

The men will start at 4 AM ET and the women will start at 8 AM ET.

As far as I can tell there won’t be any way to view this portion of the competition, online or televised.
